1. The short version
Golf Passport does not require an account. Your stamps, planned courses, custom trails, profile, and preferences are stored on your iPhone. Golf Passport does not operate a server that uploads your passport collection.
2. Information stored on your iPhone
The app stores the information you choose to add, including:
- memory stamps for courses you have played;
- courses you want to play;
- custom golf trails;
- your chosen profile name, icon, country, and home club;
- app preferences and notification settings.
This information remains on your device unless you choose to export a backup or share something using the iPhone share sheet.
3. Location
Golf Passport asks for location access only when you tap the location button on the world map. The app uses your current location to centre that map. Golf Passport does not save your location or send it to a Golf Passport server.
Verified course check-ins are not available in version 1.0. Adding a memory stamp does not use your location.
4. Passport+ purchases
Passport+ purchases and renewals are handled by Apple. Golf Passport uses RevenueCat to validate receipts, prevent purchase fraud, restore purchases, and unlock Passport+ features. RevenueCat also processes anonymous purchase history for subscription analytics such as customer history and subscription charts. In this version, Golf Passport does not send RevenueCat your name, email address, phone number, advertising identifier, or a custom account ID. Purchase history is therefore not linked to your identity in our implementation and is not used for tracking.
Apple’s privacy practices apply to purchases made through the App Store. You can manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account subscription settings.
RevenueCat acts as our subscription service provider and retains purchase records only as needed to provide its services, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. You can read the RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
5. Apple Maps and system services
The world map and course maps use Apple Maps. Notifications, sharing, file export, and purchases use Apple system services. Those services are governed by Apple’s policies and your device settings.
6. Backups and sharing
Backups are created only when you choose Export backup. You decide where the file is stored or sent. Shared passport, trail, course, and support content is sent only through the destination you choose in the iPhone share sheet.
7. Deleting your data
Open Profile → Privacy & data in Golf Passport to clear your local passport and profile data. Deleting the app also removes its local data from the iPhone. This does not cancel an active Apple subscription.
For a privacy request involving subscription records, open Profile → Support & feedback and prepare a support request. We will work with RevenueCat when a valid access, correction, or deletion request requires action by our subscription provider, subject to legal retention requirements.
8. Children
Golf Passport is a general-audience golf app and is not designed to collect personal information from children. The app does not require an account or profile with a real name.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app’s features or data practices change. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
